Quitting smoking isnt easy. You may have even tried to quit before. If so, you may think that youll never quit for good. But most ex-smokers tried quitting more than once before they quit successfully.
Its hard to quit because smoking is an addiction. That means that you have a strong physical and emotional need to smoke. This need has two parts: craving for nicotine and habit.
You must manage both parts of the addiction to quit smoking. But, by working with your doctor, you can do it! This booklet can help you learn how.
