Take charge of your health 1 step at a time.

Parkinson’s disease affects nerve cells in part of the brain. This part of the brain controls movement and balance. Parkinson’s disease can cause shaking, stiffness, balance problems and other symptoms.

Although there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease, there are many medicines and other treatments to help manage its symptoms. Work with your doctor and your healthcare team to determine an appropriate treatment plan. This booklet will help you learn about the disease and your treatment options.
