To manage your osteoarthritis, you and your doctor must work together. That means being prepared for your doctor visits and making the most of them.

Remember: Osteoarthritis is a long-term condition. There is no cure. Your pain won’t go away in one doctor visit or a single day.

You’ll be living with arthritis for a long time. Take charge of the illness. Learn all you can about it from sources you trust. If you’re unsure of something, ask your doctor. If you keep diaries of your pain (PDF Format) or your diet and exercise habits, take them with you. Show them to your doctor. Discuss any changes since your last visit.

Prepare for your next doctor visit with the 1on1health® Your Next Appointment form (PDF Format).
