Tamara:
“You have to really give yourself time to process those emotions. It’s overwhelming. It’s like you’ve just been given a life sentence.

“And you need to take that time to process your emotions, but do find out as much as you can by getting medical information, good medical information from doctors that know about herpes, so that you’re armed with not only talking to yourself about it, but facing the day that you actually are going to be brave enough to talk to other people.”

Mikki:
“It’s totally 100% vital to understand all about herpes before you’re even in a position where you have to give the talk.

“You need to understand that for yourself. You need to be educated about it for yourself and to understand it, so that you can go on and realize that your life will go on, and that you will meet people and that you know everything will be okay.

“Because if you’re not educated about it and understand it, you can’t hand that over to someone else. It will be, it won’t be said the right way. Because you’ll still be having.... They can hear the doubt in your voice and in your words, if you don’t understand it completely yourself.”
