Terri:
“I think the best advice is to give yourself time. Don’t make any major decisions right now. Continue to live your life as normally as you can.

“If there’s one person in your life that you can tell, tell them. If there are more, tell more. You need support from people. And people newly diagnosed will find out that their friends have herpes when they never knew before and they can help them.

“Giving yourself time is important because it gives you perspective that you don’t have at the first moment.”

Corky:
“I think the most important thing to do, you know, now that you know you have herpes, is to get information and to go to appropriate people and share with them that you have it.

“Don’t hold it in. Don’t hide yourself from the world and don’t believe for a second that you aren’t lovable.”
