Erection difficulties don’t just affect a man. They affect his partner, too.

Even when they know the cause is physical, men with erection difficulties often feel depressed, guilty, or stressed. This can make the problem worse.

There are ways to cope. You can keep your feelings and relationship with your partner healthy while you deal with erection difficulties. Dealing with the problem together might even bring you closer.

Talk about it

Many men have trouble talking with their partners about their erection difficulties. It’s important to talk openly. You need your partner’s support and understanding. And, your partner needs to know she is not the root of the problem.

The first step is to talk with your partner. That will help your partner know how best to help you.

Why not start by showing this page to your partner? With your doctor, you both can work to overcome your difficulties and find treatment options.
