Because it interferes with blood flow, high blood pressure, also called hypertension, is often associated with erection problems.

High blood pressure is high pressure (tension) in the arteries. Over time, high blood pressure can damage the blood vessels in the penis—leading to erectile dysfunction.

But there are ways to improve erectile function, even if you have high blood pressure. Ask your doctor about treatment.

For more information, visit the 1on1health High Blood Pressure area.
