It’s easy to feel alone when you have an anxiety disorder. Support groups may help you deal with it. People with problems like yours get together to talk about their feelings, share information, and support each other.

A support group shouldn’t take the place of counseling. But many people find them helpful. If you don’t want to meet people in person, you may want to join a group which “meets” online.

Your doctor or counselor may be able to suggest a support group near you. Also, contact these nonprofit organizations for information on local support groups:
